YB DATO’ SERI ANWAR IBRAHIM OFFICIATED THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE NEW FIVE-STAR LUXURY RESORT DEVELOPMENT, ‘LEXIS HIBISCUS 2’ BY KL METRO GROUP & MENTERI BESAR INC, ADDING 582 WATER VILLAS AND 178 SKY POOL VILLAS IN NEGERI SEMBILAN BY 2024

Kuala Lumpur Metro Group, in a joint venture with Menteri Besar Incorporated (Negeri Sembilan government investment arm) recently announced the development of its latest resort, Lexis Hibiscus 2, in an official signing ceremony, witnessed by YB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Member of Parliament for Port Dickson. A five-star luxury resort adjacent to its popular Lexis Hibiscus here, have an estimated gross development value of RM500 million. The new resort called Lexis Hibiscus 2 will boast more water and sky pool villas than those at Lexis Hibiscus, which currently owns two Guinness World Records for having the most swimming pools and most overwater villas in a resort.

"We believe that Lexis Hibiscus 2 will emulate the success of Lexis Hibiscus and is set to surpass Lexis Hibiscus' current position as the largest water homes development in the world. Lexis Hibiscus 2 will provide the finest in accommodation, dining and meetings in the state of Negeri Sembilan to discerning leisure and business travellers." said KL Metro Group Chairman Mat Hassan Esa.

The announcement was witnessed by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who is Member of Parliament of Port Dickson. Lexis Hibiscus 2 will feature 760 rooms comprising 582 water villas and 178 sky pool villas. In comparison, Lexis Hibiscus, which was opened in 2015, boasts 522 water villas and 117 sky pool villas. Just like Lexis Hibiscus, each villa at the new resort will have its own private dip pool. It will also come with a sunken aquarium with built-in restaurant (the first of its kind in Malaysia) and the largest ballroom in the state, accommodating 2,000 people.

The resort will be managed by the Lexis Hotel Group, who has won several accolades from reputable bodies including the prestigious World Luxury Hotel Awards, Haute Grandeur Global Hotel Awards, PATWA International Travel Awards, Business Television India (BTVI), Brand Laureate Best Brands Awards, Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards (HAPA), Asia’s Best Employer Brand Awards and Top 10 of Asia, just to name a few.
