TUN DR MAHATHIR & TUN DR SITI HASMAH INSPIRED BY DATO’ SERI SITI NURHALIZA’S KONSERT KARYA AGUNG PAK NGAH AT ISTANA BUDAYA

Konsert Karya Agung Pak Ngah or the real name of the late Datuk Suhaimi Md Zain was held for two days beginning Nov 14 and Nov 15 at the Istana Budaya here. The two-hour concert aims to highlight the work of Pak Ngah who is known for his Malaysian rhythms. Famous singer Dato' Seri Siti Nurhaliza was among the artists who performed with the Malaysian Traditional Orchestra (OTM) and other artists were Ernie Zakri, Syamel, Asmidar and Rojer.

Director General of Istana Budaya, Datuk Mohamed Juhari Shaarani said the concert was held in honor of Pak Ngah's contribution in Malaysian music industry. Pak Ngah was a leading composer who was committed in fighting the Malaysian rhythm and has made a huge impact on the career of the artist and the people of Malaysia as a whole.

Special segments for popular songs such as Nirmala, Ya Maulai, Hati Kama, Balqis and others were songs by the country's number one singer, Siti Nurhaliza. The concert also featured songs by Pak Ngah in commercial theaters and hits such as Hang Li Po Theater, Rubiah and Cinduo Mato and more. Popular songs by Pak Ngah with other artists from Indonesia and Singapore were also performed by Ernie, Syamel and Rojer.

Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad and Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali were also presence during the concert.  In the meantime, Siti also uploaded a photo of her memories with Tun M and Tun Siti Hasmah after the concert ended. Siti once again expressed her gratitude and joy at the presence of the Prime Minister and wife's visit to Konsert Karya Agung Pak Ngah. “Thank you YAB Tun Mahathir and YABhg devotee Tun Siti Hasmah for taking the time to attend the Konsert Karya Agung Pak Ngah. “I would like to thank Tun for being there to provide support despite the busy schedule.
