PAVILION BUKIT JALIL MALL ON TRACK TO OPEN IN 2021, WITH 1M SQ FT OF TENANTS SECURED WHICH INCLUDES PARKSON, DADI CINEMA, ICE RINK, ETC

The upcoming Pavilion Bukit Jalil shopping mall has recently secured one million sq ft of confirmed tenants. Pavilion Bukit Jalil, which is set to open in 2021, is also on track to secure another 300,000 sq ft of confirmed tenants. The ceremony to unveil Pavilion Bukit Jalil as “The Icon of Connectivity” and announce the anchor tenants of the mall was officiated by Tourism, Arts and Culture Deputy Minister, YB Tuan Muhammad Bakhtiar Wan Chik alongside Kuala Lumpur (KL) Pavilion Sdn Bhd CEO for retail Datuk Joyce Yap and Regal Path Sdn Bhd director and Pavilion Bukit Jalil owner Datuk Lee Whay Hoong.

Anchor tenants will include department store operator Parkson, Dadi Cinema, Food Republic, The Food Merchant, Harvey Norman superstore, Pavilion Bukit Jalil Ice Rink and a host of mini anchors, specialty stores, food and beverage outlets, leisure and entertainment attractions. Speaking at the event, Datuk Joyce Yap said: “I am proud to announce that one million sq ft of the Pavilion Bukit Jalil retail space has already been secured with tenants. We are also close to securing another 300,000 sq ft in retail space from committed tenants though there is still 18 months to the opening.

“Despite current market conditions, there are still many regional brands interested to enter Malaysia because of our strong fundamentals and low business cost,” She added. According to earlier reports, Bukit Jalil City, which has an estimated gross development value of RM4 billion, is being developed by Malton and Pavilion KL.

The mall is accessible to a catchment population of 1.9 million when it opens. Pavilion Bukit Jalil boasts excellent connectivity, served by public transport, two light rail transit stations and a synergy of roads and major highways including the Bukit Jalil Highway, Kesas Highway, KL Middle Ring Road 2 and the Maju Expressway.
