Quill City Mall KL has recently had an array of exciting activities and charity events that was held in conjunction of the Chinese New Year 2020 season. The Charity Event was held to usher-in the year of the RAT by the organization of a Kids Talents Show such as “Prince and Princess of Cheongsam-Samfu 2020” while raising donations through the sales of the International Charity Bazaar, which was held on the 1st to 2nd February 2020.

The Prince and Princess of Cheongsam-Samfu 2020 was organized by ParisZki Talent’s Touch Studio, one of Malaysia’s leading agency for kids’ talent development including modelling, dancing, singing and styling events. While the International Charity Bazaar was by Club Yummy Mommy (CYM), which is the first Indonesian International Motherhood and Cooking Club in Malaysia.

The highlight of the Chinese New Year celebrations was the Prince & Princess Cheongsam-Samfu 2020 / Ambassador 2020 competition that was held over the two days. Day 1 of the competition was focus on participants talent while Day 2 was the centred on the participants’ modelling talents (Catwalk). Since the competition was open to all, the Prince & Princess Cheongsam-Samfu 2020 participants showcased their variois talents in singing, music, dancing, magic and other variety of acts.

The two-day International Charity Bazaar 2020 hosted 25 vendors with all proceeds were donated to Pertubuhan Sayang Malaysia (PERSAMA), an NGO which is focused on helping children with special needs, especially autism. Badan Amal Kasih Sayang Malaysia (BAKASA) also donated two wheelchairs to PERSAMA. Besides the fashion show and charity bazaar, there were also other activities held including dance performances, workshops, live performances and lucky draws. Performing live at the event was Sarah Fazny, TV3’s Mentor finalist, Hasnol Ariff, celebrated singer-songwriter, Yuba Boukendoul, upcoming child singer and Outbreak, Malaysian boy band.
Among the fashion shows presented were by Luire, Tradisindo and Kurasi, and a special “Trend Kebaya 2020” showcase by Rumah Kebaya Malaysia. The workshops featured programs such as Caribbean & Arabic cooking style, Austrian pancakes in the making, Italian cooking show, Italian decoupage, soap making and henna painting, among others.
