Datuk Seri Salleh Keruak Launches Second Season of Ummi

The Minister of Communications and Multimedia, Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Salleh Said Keruak launched the second season of ‘Ummi…Ceritalah Pada Kami’ – a popular animated series that infuses entertainment and educational values to reinforce the importance of moral values and kindness for children and family alike – at KL Converge! 2015.

The second season will feature brand new and fun songs to sing along as well as more dynamic and entertaining storylines, while still keeping the same format as season one, where a charming and warm-hearted woman named Ummi tells stories taken mainly from the Quran to educate her children namely Putri, Alif, Hana, Aiman & Atan.

Hud-Hud Media took a year to produce the new season which consisted of thirteen 22-minute episodes, after receiving positive feedbacks for season one locally and internationally. Season one was broadcasted on TV3, TV9 and Astro Ceria in Malaysia, Global TV in Indonesia, RTB in Brunei, and was ordered by 27 countries respectively.

“The second season was created in response to strong demand from global TV stations and encouraging feedbacks from the local and international viewers, especially parents, teachers, religious figures, and children. We are also thrilled for the opportunity to deliver quality 3D animation and content that resonate with viewers from all over the world” said Johan Nawawi, the CEO of Hud-Hud Media.
