MSC Malaysia Intellectual Property Creators Challenge (IPCC) is back again this year to support the creation of local intellectual property by offering grant up to RM60,000 for animation and up to RM50,000 for casual games.
IPCC is a platform for local talents to hone their creativity and accelerate the development and commercialisation of innovative as well as world-class digital content.
This one-of-a-kind competition is open to both amateurs and professionals from the creative multimedia industry. However, to be eligible, entrants must be Malaysian companies, enterprises, sole proprietorship and teams of individuals that must consist a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 individuals.
The entries will be judged by several industry heavyweights and at the end of the competition, winners will receive the grant; a development space at Cyberjaya, unlimited access to MSC Malaysia Animation & Creative Content Centre’s (MAC3) facilities; and consultancy from industry professionals.
Last year, the competition attracted more than 70 original entries and 11 winners were announced including Annasismirror Sdn Bhd for Just in Case; One Step Digital Sdn Bhd for The Adventures of Laok, Paok & Ulam; and Sandman International Sdn Bhd for Alone Time in the Animation category and Pinheads Interactive Sdn Bhd for King of The Hills; Fun Science Sdn Bhd for Hamster Escapade; and iON Studio for Tap Summoner, among others in the Casual Games category.
