Kelab Seni Filem Malaysia Brings Lao New Cinema to Content Malaysia Pitching Centre

Kelab Seni Filem Malaysia will be bringing two Lao films to be screened at Content Malaysia Pitching Centre on 18 and 19 March 2016. The screenings, which are themed Lao New Cinema will feature two films; At the Horizon (Pai Tang) and Chantaly.

Pai Tang is a thriller movie by Anysay Keola and tells the story of a spoiled young man who gets into trouble after accidentally killing a young woman and her daughter in a car crash. The screening will be followed by a short film by Anoulek Douangdala, Say What? (Vao Yung Koc?).

Chantaly, the first ever horror movie shot and produced in Laos, is going to be screened at the Content Malaysia Pitching Centre on 19th March 2016. The movie is the very first feature-length movie directed by a Lao woman; Mattie Do. Chantaly will be preceeded by a short film by Xaisongkham Indouangchanthy, Those Below (Tok Khang).
