GOASEAN Attracts Global Buyers with its Original Travel Content at HK FILMART 2016

GOASEAN, Malaysia's multi-platform digital and broadcast travel channel has gained international television programme buyers’ interest to distribute its original content productions at the Hong Kong FILMART 2016.

A spokesperson for GOASEAN said that the original travel content on Southeast Asia such as GO Travel, The Eco Traveller, Lost at S.E.A and The Halal Foodie had received positive reviews from content distributors and discussions on distributorship are on-going.

“We are delighted with the response from the international content community to our originally-produced travel programmes.  GOASEAN has come a long way in a very short time, and within less than a year in operation, we have gone from completely acquiring all our content to producing and now, distributing our content internationally,” said the spokesperson.

Previously, the award winning channel has proved its credibility through partnerships with Southeast Asia’s Internet TV Service provider, iflix. Its GO Travel content will also be broadcasted via various in-flight entertainment systems which include Malaysia Airlines, Malindo Air, Air Asia X, Bangkok Airways, Oman Air and SILK Air.  

“Our participation here at the Hong Kong FILMART 2016 is part of our efforts to support the ASEAN association’s pursuit to engage and drive tourism as a key economic driver for ASEAN. By internationalising our content on Southeast Asia to a more global audience, we hope to attract more tourist interest worldwide to our side of the world,” added the GOASEAN spokesperson.
