Tunku Mona Riza's directorial debut, Redha took home two awards from the recent World Premieres Film Festival Philippines (WPFF) 2016.
Organised by the Film Development Council Philippines in cooperation with the Cinematheque Centre Manila, Redha bagged two of the festival's major awards; Best Performance by an Actress and the Grand Jury Prize.
Best Performance by an Actress was won by June Lonjong through her character as a loving mother raising an autistic son in Redha, while the Grand Jury Prize was received by Tunku Mona Riza for the film's universal social value.
Competing in the festival's Main Competition, Redha went against films from across the globe such as France's By Accident, Spain's Love Above All Things, Vietnam's Yen's Life and Philippines' Daughter of the Three Tailed Banner.
Featuring award-winning casts such as Namron, Nadiya Nisaa, Remy Ishak, and many others, Redha highlights the struggles of a family who had to confront the harsh realities of raising an autistic child.
