Global Entrepreneurship Movement’s ‘Lets Jam@GEM’ Session to Focus on Local Creative Industries

Global Entrepreneurship Movement (GEM); an NGO that aims to build, promote, internationalize and connect local-based entrepreneurs and the Malaysian entrepreneurship ecosystem to the global movement of entrepreneurs, is set to focus on local creative industries in the latest Lets Jam@GEM session, on 27th July 2016, from 7 pm to 9 pm at MyIPO IP Academy, Bangsar.

As an organisation that aims to work together with all other government agencies and private sector players to collectively create an entrepreneurial movement in Malaysia; the session will gather five key industry figures to discuss on the current development in the TV, performing arts and creative, as well as motion industries in Malaysia.

The panelists are Dato’ Kamil Othman, Director General of FINAS; Johan Ishak, CEO of MyCreative Ventures; Low Ngai Yuen, President of Kakiseni; Izan Satrina, Founder of My Performing Arts Agency (MyPAA); and Hasnul Hadi Samsudin, Director Creative Content and Technologies Division of  Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) as the moderator.

Lets Jam@GEM will be opened to the public and the session will continue with a personalised Business Clinics, a free consultation session for entrepreneurs on registering business start-ups, financing options, advice on Intellectual Property (IPs) and legal queries.

GEM is the brainchild of the Treasury Secretary General, Tan Sri Dr. Irwan Serigar bin Abdullah to engage the entire entrepreneurial ecosystem – which includes the creative industries – towards a more cohesive whole.
