Astro, Malaysia’s leading integrated consumer media entertainment group won the Gold honour under the ‘Media and Network’ category for seventh consecutive year at the recent Putra Brand Awards 2016.
Launched in 2010 by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As), the Putra Brand Awardsis the premier brand awards in Malaysia to recognise brand building as an integral business investment, measured by consumer preference.
Moreover, the broadcaster with over 170 channels was also honoured with Putra Malaysian Marketer of the Year Award for its outstanding Marketing Team. As a means to show appreciation to its loyal customers, Astro is giving a complimentary access to over 150 channels and Astro on the Go service from 13th to 31st August 2016.

Other awards under the Media and Network category were presented to The Star (Silver) and Media Prima (Bronze) through its subsidiaries; TV3 and New Straits Times.
Organised in association with the Malaysia's Most Valuable Brands (MMVB), the Putra Brand Awards is the only brand awards in the country endorsed by MATRADE and supported by the Branding Association of Malaysia (BAM), the Malaysian Advertisers Association (MAA), and the Media Specialists Association (MSA).
