KL Converge! Returns to Promote Malaysia as a Creative Digital Content Hub

Malaysia’s biggest digital and social event of the year, KL Converge! is set to return on 22nd to 24th September 2016 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, to promote Malaysia as a creative digital content hub through the innovation of interactive content.

Organised by the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia (KKMM) in collaboration with Government Agencies and Industry Players, the 3-day event will bring together leading experts from the fields of multimedia, applications, internet and creative content to discuss, showcase and celebrate opportunities and successes in the digital space.

In keeping with the theme of “Touch the Future,” KL Converge! 2016 invites Malaysians to revel in the very best in cinema to viral videos, the internet of things to video games, music to animation, art to photography, and more. Visitors will also get the chance to learn, create, connect and startup their way through the greatest innovation of our time.

Furthermore, FINAS will host the 5th Asia Content Business Summit (ACBS) for the first time in Malaysia at KL Converge! 2016. The annual creative content Summit which is organised by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) Japan, is set to discuss the international creative content development direction through a dialogue session between government representatives and industry players.

Apart from featuring masterclasses and workshops with renowned industry experts, KL Converge! 2016 will also host a string of programmes such as Commonwealth Broadband Asia Forum 2016, Malaysia Developers' Day and 101 Coding, Live News Production, Intellectual Property Creators Challenge (IPCC), and more by MDEC, MYNIC, MCMC, MyIPO, RTM and others.

The event is open to the public and the admission is free.
