Malaysia’s animation studio, Hud Hud Media Sdn Bhd recently signed an agreement with two Korean companies, Intersave Co., Ltd. and RXO Group Co., Ltd. at Asia Content and Entertainment (ACE) Fair in Gwangju, South Korea to further expand their IP in the region.
The agreement with Intersave Co., Ltd., one of the leading mobile game companies in South Korea includes adapting the ‘Ummi’ IP from the award winning 3D animation series for children, Ummi ...Ceritalah Pada Kami into an arcade-type mobile game for children aged four and above.
Besides co-developing the exciting and educational mobile game, which is set to be launched in the first quarter next year, the deal also sees Intersave and Hud Hud Media producing a series of ‘Hud Toys’ for Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia market.
In addition, RXO Group Co., Ltd. has shown interest to invest as a corporate investor in Hud Hud Media, as they find the animation company has a strong IP. The South Korean company is also set to visit the animation studio next month to further discuss on their investment, which worth an estimated USD 1.5M to 3M.
Johan Nawawi, CEO of Hud Hud Media revealed, “Besides the local Korean companies, other foreign visitors from all over the world also commended our effort in promoting an IP with good moral value for children. Moving forward, we hope those who have shown interests with the IP will seal the deal soon as there is a big potential for our content to be broadcasted in Bangladesh, Pakistan, China, Myanmar and Indonesia.”
Hud Hud Media’s most popular IP, Ummi ...Ceritalah Pada Kami, is currently on Astro Ceria in Malaysia, and already broadcasted on Global TV Indonesia, RTB Brunei, and some parts of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The IP also boasts 11 apps on Google Play and Apple iOS Store including Songs of Ummi, Quizzes and Puzzles with Ummi, Parenting With UMMI HD, and many more.
