Media Prima Labs' SEA Game Jam Winners Unveiled at Level Up KL

South East Asia Game Jam; a 36-hour game session organised by Media Prima Labs in partnership with Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) has revealed its winning teams during the curtain-closing ceremony for Level Up KL 2016.

The winners; Team Bolt, Team Escalator and Team Rotan took home cash prizes of RM8,000, RM5,000 and RM3,000 for the first, second and third places respectively. The team members also received an Oculus Gear VR each and a green lane to developing their prototypes with Media Prima Labs through its Alpha Startups: Game Pre-Accelerator programme.

Based on the theme 'Kid-centric', the game jam saw a total of 17 teams comprising of 82 participants from all over the region competing to come up with mobile game concepts and raw prototypes.

"Malaysia has a great potential to be a game hub in South East Asia, and we are proud to showcase our creative talents to the world," commented Hasnul Hadi Samsudin, Director of Creative Content and Technologies of MDEC.

Level Up KL is one of South East Asia's premiere gaming conferences featuring business perspectives, technical insights and exchanges of future-shaping trends in gaming. Aimed to build a world class gaming ecosystem in Malaysia, Level Up KL brings together local, regional and international players in the gaming sector to interact, educate and share knowledge.
