Global Entrepreneurship Community’s ‘Creative Cluster Lab’ Explores Policies, Measures and Mechanisms for Collaborative Solutions

The inaugural Global Entrepreneurship Community (GEC); a global summit organised by Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (MaGIC) gathered above 100 industry players in the ‘Creative Cluster Lab’ to explore policies, measures and mechanisms for collaborative solutions at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) from 8th to 9th December 2016.

The GEC Cluster Labs are established on 9 specific industries; Smart Cities, Biotech, Lifestyle, Creative and more where over the participants in each cluster immersed in an unconference alongside industry leaders, ecosystem builders, cluster practitioners, policy advocates, community champions, influencers and entrepreneurs to engage in moderated discussions.

Five sessions were held under the Creative Cluster; Artist Labs (hosted by My Performing Arts Agency (MYPAA)), Content Monetization: The Changing Landscape (hosted by My Creative Ventures), Licensing and Merchandising Acceleration Framework (hosted by Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC)), Future Creative (hosted by Socialab), and Creative Duality (hosted by Metripol).

Under the theme of "Reimagine the Future of Entrepreneurs”, the ‘Creative Cluster Lab’ also discussed on industry-specific future challenges, future trends and behaviors, exchange experiences and discuss strategic partnerships in developing new initiative to solve real problems.

The initiatives will be presented on the next day where the public will get to vote and support the relevant initiative. The successful initiative will be developed by MaGIC and the respective host. 

Moderated by Global Creative and Media Agency (GCMA), the ‘Creative Cluster Lab’ aimed to create measurable impact by supporting sustainable value innovation and creation, with MaGIC targeting to facilitate USD100 million of value generation through all the cluster labs.
