Nibiru Pictures Launches its First Animation, MBoo

Local animation production house, Nibiru Pictures Sdn Bhd launched its first animation, MBoo at the Zoom Kartun event at The Summit on 7th January 2016.

The 39-episode, seven minutes 3D animation took the studio two years to develop and six months to produce, with the support from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) under the Creative Industry Development Fund (CIDF).

Set to be completed and ready to be broadcasted in the third quarter this year, the Full HD animation tells the story of multi-species animals residing in a place called Sebendang. The main character of the series, Boo is voiced by local comedian Ropie, the winner of Astro’s Maharaja Lawak Mega 2013.

Mr. Norman Mohamad Safai'ee, Director of Nibiru Pictures commented, “Targeted for children aged 2 and above, MBoo is not just packed with colourful background, unique storyline, and gags, but moral values too.”

Nibiru Pictures was established in 2009 with the objective to creating a high quality, entertaining animation series. Along with its own animation academy, which specializes in 3D animation, 3D modelling, digital compositing and value added training; the studio brings hallmark quality and originality to all its end products.
