Malaysian actress, Nora Danish starred in the sequel to an award-winning Indonesian film, Surga Yang Tak Dirindukan. Set to screen in Malaysia on 16th February 2017, the film was released earlier this month in Indonesia to a sold-out audience.
Based on the novel with the same title by Asma Nadia, the sequel follows Citra Arini (Laudya Cynthia Bella) who has accepted Meirose (Raline Shah) as her husband’s, Andhika Prasetya (Fedi Nuril) second wife. Another conflict arises when Arini is introduced to Dr. Syarief (Reza Rahadian), who is close to Meirose.
In her second starring role in Indonesia, Nora plays the role of Arini’s manager, Sheila. Speaking of the opportunity, the actress said that her involvement in the film paved a way for her to enter the Indonesian film industry and the journey has been exciting. The filming took her from Indonesia to Budapest, Hungary for twenty days.
Currently filming Makrifat Cinta along with Syamsul Yusof, Nora will star in another Malaysia-Indonesia production titled Cinta Bukan Malaikat with Ashraf Muslim and Fachry Albal.
