Frontier Borneo, a local series production by Malaysia’s Kyanite TV and Singapore’s Beach House Pictures for Discovery Channel debuted the first episode online on ‘Astro on the Go’ platform before the premier on Discovery Channel on 28th February 2017.

The docu-series follows the unsung heroes as they uncover and protect Borneo’s stunning tropical landscape and rich biodiversity. From rescue missions, to wrangling deadly creatures across unchartered territories, the action-packed series reveals not only the beauty of the island but also the reality of frontier living.

Featuring local wildlife biologist, Dr. (Hon.) Wong Siew Te (CEO of Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre) and Leo Biddle (CEO of Orangutan Project Sdn Bhd) as the regular casts, the series also includes a unique cast of local and international wildlife rangers, explorers, scientists and conservationists to uncover some of the most spectacular landscapes to be found in Borneo, and gives us an unprecedented glimpse into the realities of this unique world.

The 10-part series is produced by the Natural History Lead at Beach House Pictures, Chiara Anna Bellati, with the support of the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) and the Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA) of Singapore.

Frontier Borneo is also set to debut on UKTV later this year.
