‘Redhaku Untukmu’ Wins Four Awards at the Third P.Ramlee Tribute ‘Kaseh’ Award

Redhaku Untukmu, a telefilm by actress-turned-director, Dira Abu Zahar bagged four awards at the third P.Ramlee Tribute ‘Kaseh’ Award, held on 4th March 2017 at the Auditorium Perdana Angkasapuri, Kuala Lumpur.

The telefilm, which tells the hindered love story between Eli and Zahid garnered the awards for Best Telefilm, Best Director (Dira Abu Zahar), Best Supporting Actor (Iedil Putra) and Best Actress (Sharifah Sakinah).

“I am truly honored to receive the Best Director award and this award is not just for me, but for everyone who worked relentlessly behind the screen for Redhaku Untukmu as well,” said the director.

Another telefilm, Sri Bulan written by Datin Paduka Shuhaimi Baba and Harlina Samad about the life of a mother after her son’s divorce took home three awards; Best Script, Best Actor (Che Kem), and Best Supporting Actress (Aida Khalida).

The P.Ramlee Tribute ‘Kaseh’ Award also presented the Best Cinematography trophy to Junaimeramfizal Rahmat and the Special Jury award was presented to Kembara Nak Dara.

Co-organised by Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) and Suhan Movies since 2015, the award brought together 15 film directors and 11 script writers to produce telefilms based on songs by the late Tan Sri P.Ramlee with original storyline expansion.
