Award-winning local singer, Dato’ Sheila Majid, is set to showcase her new songs from latest album live at the world’s oldest rainforest, Belum Rainforest on 29th April 2017.

Surrounded by the approximately 130 million years old rainforest, the evening performance will be her first performance in the setting. The showcase is also a collaboration with Belum Conservation and Pulau Banding Foundation, a non-profit organisation which supports eco-tourism through sustainable development for the Belum-Temengor Rainforest complex ecosystem and promotes research by the foundation.

Commenting on her upcoming showcase at the Belum Rainforest Resort, Dato’ Sheila Majid said: “Besides introducing my latest album, this showcase is also an awareness campaign for our local resources and highlight the importance of environmental conservation.”

Ahmad Khalif Bin Tan Sri Mustapha Kamal, Executive Director of Belum Conservation reiterated, “We are honoured to be working with Dato’ Sheila Majid on this mission, as it can only succeed when more people understand the urgency of why the environment needs to be protected.”

Exclusive tickets can be purchased at the Belum Rainforest Resort official website and a portion of the proceeds garnered from the showcase will be channelled towards the Pulau Banding Foundation.
