dimsum, the latest subscription video-on-demand service in Malaysia, debuted its first branded VOD content from Oh!K, a Korean entertainment channel owned by Turner Asia Pacific, as part of its plan to serve the latest and the best of Asian content to its subscribers in Malaysia and Brunei.
Oh!K offers access to award-winning series and hit shows across the region, with content available in original Korean and Mandarin, as well as with multiple language subtitles. A brand powered by major studios and content creators including MBC, one of Korea’s leading broadcasters and content providers, Oh!K also provides local audiences access to first-runs and exclusives, soon after their transmission debut in Korea.
Speaking on the new partnership, Lam Swee Kim, dimsum Chief Marketing Officer commented: “We are pleased to have regional and global partners like Turner on dimsum as we continue to grow our content offerings. The partnership will enhance our Korean drama genre on dimsum.”
“This new service offers audiences some of the most entertaining and popular titles from Oh!K, and we are looking forward to working with dimsum to share some of the best storytelling – and most famous on-screen talent – from Korea with viewers in Malaysia and Brunei,” added Phil Nelson, Managing Director of Turner in Southeast Asia.
dimsum is available to stream on both mobile app and web applications, with access for up to 5 concurrent users or devices in one account. The service also supports Chromecast and AirPlay for subscribers to watch their favourite shows on TV.
