Mohana Gill Launches Children’s Cookbook, ‘Hayley’s Happylicious Series’

Award-winning local author, Mohana Gill launched her new children’s cookbook titled ‘Hayley’s Happylicious Series’ which focuses on children’s healthy eating. The book launch was officiated by YTM Dato’ Sri Raja Eleena Binti Sultan Azlan Shah at the Tuanku Bainun Children’s Creative Centre in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Set as eight parts, the series follow Hayley and Zac as they make new friends and meet old ones in each book, where their friends share nutritious foods with them, explaining the health benefits while keeping them mesmerised with exciting stories.

“The series are for children age 3 to 10 years old. It is unique and the first of its kind in children’s literature as it comprises stories around the world, facts about foods and practical recipes to try on,” said Mohana Gill, the book author.

Moreover, the series also highlights on the importance of healthcare and prevention on the risk of diabetes among children.

YTM Dato’ Sri Raja Eleena Binti Sultan Azlan Shah, the patron of Tuanku Bainun Children's Creative Centre said: “The colorful characters and illustrations in the series will definitely attract the children to read and also encourage the parents to try the recipes together with their children.”

Mohana Gill recently won the Page-to-Pitch Media 360 competition, organised by Perbadanan Kota Buku, in the Ideas to Book category for the series.
