The Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cyberview Sdn Bhd (Cyberview) in formation of Futurise Centre at MaGIC main office in Cyberjaya. The MoU was witnessed by Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Bin Tun Abdul Razak, the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
Set to be the center stage for corporate companies, universities and entrepreneurs to consolidate their efforts on community betterment, Futurise Centre will also pioneer innovations as well prompting national digital economy agenda.
“This new establishment will pioneer the country’s future innovation push Malaysia into the digital economy – pursuant with goals laid out in our National Transformation 2050 (TN50) vision,” said Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Bin Tun Abdul Razak.
The centre will house Innovation Labs, Vertical Accelerators, Maker Labs and Co-Working Spaces, in line with MaGIC role in empowering the spirit of entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation.
Faris Yahaya, Managing Director of Cyberview commented: “We look forward to further strengthening Cyberjaya’s offerings as a sandbox and playground for people to take innovative technology ideas from concepts and start-ups and grow them into businesses capable of competing in the global scene.”
Partnering in this new formation are Multimedia University (MMU), Tsinghua University, United Nations Technology Innovation Lab (UNTIL), Microsoft HoloLens and AI Lab.
