MFX Sdn. Bhd., an animation and VFX company based in Kuala Lumpur, has successfully nabbed the title for the Best Visual Effects/CGI for its Toyota Hilux FMC Beyond Dimensions’ commercial at the 2017 Apollo Awards held at Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre, Singapore on May 24, 2017.

The 40-second adrenaline-inducing video shows the Hilux moving from one setting to another; clearly indicating that it doesn’t matter if the pick-up is at the beach, in the forest, on rocky terrains or even in the urban milieu - the Hilux is perfect for anything.

By winning the title, the video, produced by Chan Moon Choong and Wayne Ho, beat many other reputable names in the Asia-Pacific visual effects industry.

Apollo Awards’ official website stated that, “19 awards were presented to exceptional individuals honouring them for their creative yet contemporary approach towards every aspect in the television, digital and immersive production field. It was heartening to see many new individuals and organisations achieve recognition at the ceremony.”

Proudly sponsored by Asia Image and Television Asia Plus, the Apollo Awards is a great initiative at honouring the very best in production and post-production across Asia-Pacific. With a great emphasis on the creative and technical mastery behind the scenes, the Apollo Awards seek to showcase more niche specialties in television production and post-production.
