Xandria Ban Kah Yee, popularly known as Xandria Ban, has managed to make Malaysia beam with pride, once again, after nabbing one of the coveted spots in the Top 15 list of the recent World Beauty Queen 2017 pageant, held at the Federation of Artistic & Cultural Grand Ballroom of Korea, Seoul, South Korea on June 23, 2017.
Despite having only two weeks left to prepare for the pageant, Xandria wooed the judges so much so that she was awarded the Best Skin subsidiary title. By winning this title, Xandria, former Miss Malaysia Tourism 2015, has added another feather in her cap.
The young lady states that there is no specific person she places as a role model; however, she admires people who are independent and hardworking in achieving their goals – especially young women. “I believe beauty and brains are the qualities that makes a woman attractive and they can be a good influencer to the society,” clarifies Xandria.
Xandria notes that participating in the pageant not only gave her the perfect opportunity to explore the city of Seoul, it also provided her with a great platform to boost her recognition to the public as well as within the industry itself. Thanks to the pageant, along with Miss Malaysia Pageant Instagram account, who continuously supported her by updating on her activities throughout the competition, the Sabahan managed to garner up to 3k followers on Instagram in merely two weeks.
World Beauty Queen 2017 has also opened up another door for Xandria as following her winning of the Best Skin subsidiary title, a well-known skincare line from Korea has approached her to be the face of their product.
Xandria Ban is currently keeping herself busy by running her family business back in Sabah while still maintaining her modeling career in Kuala Lumpur. In regards to future plans, the charismatic model reiterates that she absolutely loves being under the spotlight and would love to try her hand in acting, if the opportunity arrives.
