Women TV Asia (WTV) became the first in ASEAN to launch an exclusive women-only channel, during a hi-tea pre-event held yesterday at Sunway Resort & Spa. HM Tommy, Group Chief Executive Officer states that the newly announced channel aims to be the first choice in the hearts of Web TV viewers.
WTV provides thought provoking programs dedicated to Malaysian Women as well as the public. The “Vibrant, Intelligent, Contemporary and Entertaining” station targets the intelligent women between the ages 18-40; primarily those who have spending power, such as doctors, lawyers, managers, businesswomen and even housewives.
The program, dedicated to fashion, beauty and lifestyle marketplace, targets to attract young adults who are passionate in entrepreneurship. There will also be a segment whereby entrepreneurs and traders can present their start-up brands to the audience. In addition to that, as a viewer, they would be introduced to new local brands available in the market, simultaneously improving the Malaysian economic growth.
Moreover, there will also be a Special Programs (SP) slot, which aims to produce and generate seasonal highlights and special programs centering on topics such as Parenting, Education, Arts & Culture and more. There will also be specially curated weekly programs, for instance, Women Entrepreneurs, Travel & living, The Women Doctor (health advice); Tech Power (IT show); What’s with the Arts, Music Countdown, Travel Guide (advise on traveling in Malaysia) and more.
Women TV will also be showcasing social responsibilities and other community events during the festive seasons such as charity events, in order to raise awareness to the public.
