The 23-year old Nor Natasha Suhaira Suhaimi, a medical and hospital management undergraduate from MAHSA University, emerged as the winner of Miss Malaysia Kebaya 2017. The pageant also crowned a proud mother of two Marianny Ismail, who is a profesional geologist in the oil and gas industry, as Mrs Kebaya Malaysia 2017. The pageant’s Grand Finale was held 288 metres above ground level at the Megaview Banquet Hall in KL Tower, last night.
The young lass with a big heart sets her eyes on giving back to the community by opening her own hospital. Marianny Ismail, on the other hand, stood out from the rest as her job requires her to work on oil rigs - a job typically dominated by men. Both Nor Natasha and Marianny’s confidence and elegance proved their worth of being crowned as winners. The beauties walked away with a crown, sash, a bouquet of flowers and RM50,000 worth of prizes.

Meanwhile, the Miss Malaysia Kebaya runner-up spots went to Amrit Kaur Dhillon, a 27 year old lawyer from Selangor, and Nur Balqis Ibrahim, 20 year old student from Kelantan. Manpower supply manager Simran Kour Jaspal Singh, hailing from Selangor, came in second for the “Mrs” category while third place was nabbed by a 40-year-old sales & marketing manager from Melaka, Sandra Lee Pei Pei.
Founder Jason Hee stated that the pageant aids to promote the Malaysian culture to the rest of the world, with its own Peranakan twist. He also hopes to expand the search for future Miss and Mrs Kebaya throughout the ASEAN region.
The traditionally-inspired pageant is currently on its fourth year, under the leadership of experienced pageant organiser Jason Hee Jee Pin. Miss Malaysia Kebaya 2017 and Mrs Malaysia Kebaya 2017 is proudly organised by Miss Malaysia Kebaya Marketing (MMK) with full support from Tourism Malaysia.
