Miss Korea Out beat the West to Win Miss Cosmopolitan World 2018

The Grand Final saw the MCW crown travelling from Indonesia to Korea with Miss Cosmopolitan World Korea, Soyeon Lim crowned as Miss Cosmopolitan World 2018. The 23-year-old business major student who is also a fashion model will take home a full expense paid trip to South Korea, Platinum and Diamond’s jewelry and a Royal Selangor pewter trophy.

Soyeon, 23 from South Korea has been awarded the top prize, beating more than 100 applicants worldwide for the prestigious title. Soyeon has ultimately scored the highest total amount of points based on beauty, personality, intelligence, creativity and talent. By winning the crown, Soyeon will now be an Ambassador and represent Miss Cosmopolitan World 2018 as a prominent role model in her capacity as an empowered woman, to encourage diversity and strength to all women. Soyeon also won one of the subsidiary titles The Time Keeper for her punctuality throughout the activities held.

Centered on Empowering Women throughout the World, MCW 2018 gathered 30 ladies from 29 countries to be groomed, trained and motivated. MCW aims to create new foundation for regional beauty pageants at the same time promoting Malaysia to the rest of the world.

Three weeks prior to the Grand Final, contestants went on for a journey through Malaysia, visiting Penang, Perak, Pahang, Melaka and Selangor for CSR activities and promotional activities. These include the Talent Show that was held 2 weeks before the Grand Final (6th October 2018).
