2nd Runner Up of Miss Grand Malaysia - Scarlett Megan Liew was recently announced to be Malaysia’s representative for the 47th Miss Intercontinental Pageant, to be held in Mall of Asia Arena - Manila, Philippines on the 26th of January 2019. Malaysia once again will be represented by a highly qualified, high profiled and well prepared beauty. Sanjna Suri was last year’s Malaysian representative who competed for Miss Intercontinental 2017 in Cairo, Egypt, and achieved a place in the top 15 semi-finalists.

Malaysia, through the confidence of Scarlett Megan Liew, is poised to be amongst the Top Crown for Miss Intercontinental this year. The 23 year old beauty, who quotes, “Give Up, Give In, or Give It All You’ve Got” reiterates her commitment in attaining success, that is to be the Winner of the 47th Miss Intercontinental. Scarlett, as Malaysia’s best secret weapon comes fully loaded with great aesthetics, great personality, multi-racial, multi-lingual, intelligent, multi-talented and the list goes on.

Scarlett (173 cm), who is a site safety supervisor for a construction company from Sabah, Malaysia is a healthy fitness girl who speaks five languages (English, Malay, Mandarin, Tagalog and Visaya) and loves to sing & volunteers for charity works.

This prestigious pageant, organized by the Miss Intercontinental Organization (MIO) and the Department of Trade & Industry (DTI), will be competed and represented by more than 80 countries around the world. Past winners were Veronica Salas (Miss Mexico, 2017), Heilymar Velazquez (Miss Puerto Rico, 2016), Rasulova Valentina (Miss Russia, 2015), Patraporn Wang (Miss Thailand, 2014), Ekaterina Plekhova (Miss Russia, 2013), etc. In the entire pageant history, Asia has won the title only 4 times through Miss Thailand (2014), Miss India (1997), Miss India (1978) and Miss Iran (1975).
