According to the director Billy Christian, this film was adapted from a novel Umak Petak: Minako and the production gave him a challenge to make sure that the storyline did not change. "The storyline of the novel is quite long, so I had to choose some suitable scenes to adapt into the film, which did not affect the storyline of the novel," he said.
