Adam Ham also known as “The Media Man”, is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Global Creative & Media Agency (GCMA) was recently awarded the “PR & Corporate Communications Excellence” Award at the 8th Edition of the McMillan Woods Global Awards. Adam was formerly the Entertainment & Media Specialist at the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDC – MDeC; Year 2000 - 2011), the Government agency that oversees the development of Malaysia’s Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC Malaysia) project. Since his early retirement with the Malaysian Government in the early 2011, Adam set his vision to move forward in strategic PR & Marketing Support Services for the Entertainment, Lifestyle, Tech and Business Industries by establishing GCMA to contribute to Malaysia.

Adam, a man who has been working in depth with the industries, have gained a massive network connection. With a focus on media entertainment, ICT, retailing & franchise, Adam has regular strategic ties with the public and private sectors, including most local Ministries, Government Agencies and Associations, while having authorized projects or cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia (KKMM), Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change (MESTECC), Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP), National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (Finas) to name a few.

Adam has also coordinated more than 100 international trade shows for both government and private organizations, where he was responsible in putting up the ASEAN business delegations, government relations, exhibition & conference coordination, Business matching, coordination of networking reception, international, PR and promotions and logistic arrangements. He has coordinated international trade missions to CEBIT, Mobile World Congress Barcelona, MIPTV, MIPCOM, HK Filmart, TIFFCOM, Marche du Film (Cannes de Film), Busan Film Festival, MIDEM Music Festival, WOMEX Barcelona, Las Vegas Licensing Expo, American Film Market, and many more.
In mid-2011, after his early retirement with the Malaysian Government, he started up GCMA. At the beginning, his primary focus was in Exhibitions, Conference and Event Management. It is still the very core business of GCMA till today, however, he has also expanded his focus into PR & marketing, protocol consultancy and strategic business consultancy. The business grew to be a prominent agency for the Media Entertainment Industry for the Southeast Asia, and in 2012, Adam was appointed as the Southeast Asia representative of Reed MIDEM, a division of a subsidiary of Reed Exhibitions and RELX, known as one of the largest international B2B festival and convention organizers in the world.

Adam Ham, as a well-respected key player in the industry, is a regular face in prominent awards, pageants, corporate launches and international conventions. His contribution back to the society, industry and nation has not gone unnoticed as he has received several awards for his attribution and the most notable awards would be ASEAN Council’s Masterclass Award – CEO of the year in Public Relations & Communications and Best Game Developer of the Year 2012 presented by MCMC and now the McM Masters Awards for PR & Corporate Communications Excellence in his list of achievements.
Adam Ham’s personal wish goal and future plans is to continue accelerating the growth of the Malaysian brands & franchise creative and digital economy towards world-class status while enhancing the Brand & IP Licensing industry in Malaysia, which is valued at USD 250 Billion worldwide, and bring together local and global IPs, distributors, manufacturers, publishers, retailers and investors to create a whole new industry. He believes that this new industry has a huge potential to grow and it will take Malaysia to the next level in the global scale. Malaysia has a chance in becoming the industry leader in Asia or at least in South East Asia.
