Malaysian lifestyle e-wallet, Boost, was listed in the 'International Data Corporation (IDC) Financial Insights Asia/Pacific 2020 FinTech Fast 101 list', which highlights fast-growing fintech in Asia/Pacific. The e-wallet company has seen huge successes as they have acquired over 7.3 million users and over 152,000 merchants nationwide within just three years of its launch in 2017.

Mohd Khairil Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer of Boost, said, "We are proud and honored to be recognized as one of the fastest-growing fintech players by IDC.

We are gearing up to continue on this growth trajectory as we see more Malaysians transition to following cashless recommendations by the World Health Organization to switch to contactless payment methods such as e-wallets to curb the spread of coronavirus,"

IDC commended Boost for diversifying its approach by helping SMEs who run mainly cash-based businesses such as hawker stall owners, pasar malam traders, as well as those located in rural areas as a way to promote digital and financial inclusivity in the country.
