During the opening 3-days celebration, the first 500 customers to enter the store each day will receive a goodie bag, and every customer who makes a purchase of RM200 or more in a single transaction will receive a UNIQLO U tote bag.
On its Grand Opening on Friday, 18th December 2020, UNIQLO attracted thousands of shoppers to its beautiful roadside store, and was also strict in managing crowds in accordance to Malaysia’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Dozens of security officials and public safety officers were seen inside and outside the mall managing the crowds of no more than 150 pax and constantly reminding customers to wear masks and to practice social distancing. In addition, 100s of vehicles were also seen parked illegally on the main roads obtaining parking fines. In the mean time, UNIQLO Da Square was officially launched at 10am within the store front by UNIQLO Malaysia management team in Japanese fashion, comprising of Zhang Min Ming, Store Operation Director; Alex Yong, Direct Retailing Director; Evelyn Tan, Legal Director and Tian Shin Yin, Store Manager; and Hideki Kamekawa, Operations Manager.
