Malaysia's First Komik Kon to Promote Local Creatives

For the first time ever, Komik Kon will be making its debut here in Malaysia for the fans of fictional universes and pop culture. Aptly named Komik Kon Malaysia, it is a multi-genre entertainment and comic convention, which aims to showcase comic books, science fiction/fantasy related film and television with emphasis on Malaysian produced contents. This unique event also attracts a large range of pop culture and entertainment elements across all genres including horror, animation, anime, manga, toys, collectibles card game, video games, web comics, and fantasy novels.

Komik Kon is set for a jammed packed weekend with unique attractions such as cosplay, super hero dance performance, Lightsaber Stunt Show, and an awesome art movie prop displays created by avid fans. The convention will also pay homage to the local creative industry by featuring local talents in the animation, TV, film, toys and comic to display and share their products.

Keith Wong, the organiser of Komik Kon reiterated, “We want to show the world what Malaysia can offer in the creative industry, thus Komik Kon is the perfect platform to do just that.”

The 3-day event will be held on 13th to 15th November 2015 at Hall A, MAEPS, Serdang and it will be opened to public from 10am to 8pm. Tickets are now available at for online purchase and information on other participating outlets. Ticket is also available for purchase at the entrance at any of the three days.

Tickets are priced at RM35 for the daily pass, RM78 for a 3-day pass, RM30 for students and senior citizens and RM10 for children between the ages of 7 to 12 years.
