Local-based animation studio, Backbone Entertainment Sdn Bhd has expanded its animation series, SugarPals into an education portal aimed for children aged 6 to 11 years old. The online education and entertainment portal is loaded with age-appropriate games and stories that will help build useful life skills for children, and at the same time, keeps them entertained.
The main characters, Gloria; a young playful girl who is eager to learn new things, and her SugarPals, a group of baked goods brought to life are set to make learning fun for kids with online games such as Word Puzzle and Pattern Recognition which helps with children’s mind and cognitive development.
Moreover, the portal offers E-Storybook feature that helps with reading and building sentence structure, and animated video clips which teach the benefit of good manners and being polite. All these contents are available for free with a simple online account registration, which will also enable users to access the exclusive mobile downloadable online games SugarPals Jelly Match and SugarPals Cheese Run.
Evelyn Lee, Managing Director of Backbone Entertainment mentioned, “We aim to share fun and dynamic educational contents to the public. Hence, this one-stop portal is definitely something to look forward to by parents and children from the age of 6 to 11 years old, and in time to come, more activities will be introduced which will cater for different age group.”
Designed not only for kids, the portal which is funded by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) through its Creative Industry Development Fund (CIDF) also caters to parents with JomSocial, a community area created for them to exchange thoughts and ideas related to parenting.
