Two Malaysian animation projects have been selected to compete in Seoul Promotion Plan (SPP) 2016. Sam Mchamm: The Kingdom of FooDoo by Frogtale Studio and Borneo Synergy's Becky Fixity has been shortlisted as finalists to compete in the market's Project Competition, and are the only projects from Southeast Asia that has made the cut to go against other projects from across the globe.
A total of 20 projects have been shortlisted for the Project Competition, and these finalists will be pitching their project in front of a panel of esteemed judges comprising of international and local executives from major kids channels.
The finalists will be competing for the opportunity to win in three categories; Best Planning (USD 10,000), Best Creativity (USD 10,000) and Grand Prize (USD 15,000).
16th year into its establishment, SPP has been established as an essential market discovering excellent new animation projects. Last year, Malaysia's Lil Critter Workshop had successfully claimed the honourable title of ‘Best Planning’ with Hobie the Globehopper.
Organised by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Seoul Business Agency (SBA), the event is scheduled to be held on 5th to 8th July 2016 in Seoul, South Korea.
