Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), through its Creative Content and Technologies Division challenges Malaysian IP creators to compete in this year’s Intellectual Property Creators Challenge (IPCC).

Held annually, IPCC is a platform for local talents to hone their creativity in order to create more quality content that can be developed, showcased or marketed globally.

Divided into two categories, the competition strives to encourage and nurture new talents in turning their ideas into reality while attracting creative content developers to come out with greater ideas and stories at the same time. Category A, which focuses on Short Animation is open to all projects within adventure, comedy or musical genre. On the other hand, Category B, which focuses on Casual Games is open to all game developers with a commercial ready game.

At the end of the competition, winner for Category A will take home a grant with MSC Malaysia amounting up to RM100,000 while the winner for Category B will score a grant worth up to RM 50,000. Both of the winners are also entitled to an unlimited access to MSC Malaysia Animation and Creative Content Centre’s (MAC3) facilities and consultancy from industry heavyweights that will further help them in turning their ideas into reality.

The competition is open for submission from 18th July to 18th August 2016.
