Malaysia's leading Internet TV service, iflix has acquired the exclusive rights from NBC Universal to broadcast the second season of the critically-acclaimed cyber-thriller series, Mr. Robot in Malaysia.
Fresh off the screens from the United States of America, Mr. Robot joins iflix's growing library of first run exclusives together with the show's applauded first season, award-winning crime drama Fargo, fantasy series The Magiciansand many more.
iflix Group Chief Content Officer, James Bridges commented, "We are thrilled to bring this latest installment of Mr. Robot exclusively to our markets as the first season was one of Malaysia's most talked about shows last year. It is another example of our passion for seeking out and delivering the best content available to our subscribers across the region."
In its first season, the series garnered numerous awards, including the Golden Globe for Best TV Drama. The series tells the story of Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek), a young cyber-security engineer who gets involved in the underground hacker group after being recruited by their mysterious leader.
New episodes will premiere every Thursday on iflix, 24-hours after its initial U.S broadcast.
