Malaysia-HK Film, Mrs K to Screen as Opening Film at 2017 Osaka Asian Film Festival

Malaysia-Hong Kong film, Mrs K is set to screen as Opening Film at the 12th Osaka Asian Film Festival (OAFF) this year. The announcement was made by the festival on 30th January 2017.

Directed by award-winning Malaysian director, Ho Yuhang; Mrs K tells the story of a housewife who is forced out of her sheltered life to face an old enemy after her daughter is kidnapped.

The film, which will make its Japan premiere on 3rd March at the Umeda Burg 7 Theater 1, Osaka previously had its world premiere to a sold out audience at the 21st Busan International Film Festival in October 2016.

Co-produced by Ho’s production company, Paperheart as well as Red Films (Malaysia) and Emperor Motion Pictures (Hong Kong), the action thriller stars Kara Wai, Simon Yam, Wu Bai and Malaysian actor, Faizal Hussein.

Besides Mrs K, the film festival will also feature other much-talked-about Asian films, including Osaka-born director, Seta Natsuki’s latest film, Parks.
