Malaysian Actor, Bront Palarae to Star in Tagalog Horror Anthology Series

Malaysian actor, Bront Palarae is set to star in one of Bradley Liew’s upcoming Daddy’s Home horror anthology – the actor’s first ever Tagalog-language role.

The psychological thriller is about a father (Bront) who returns home after being away at sea for some time. However, things take an eerie turn when he becomes a different man and his family ends up not recognizing him. 

“I first met Bradley and Bianca in 2014 back in Japan. We have always talked about doing something together, and three years later, here we are,” said Bront Palarae whom also just finished his filming for Indonesian horror remake, Pengabdi Setan.

The episode which Bront is set to appear will be directed by another award-winning Manila-based Malaysian director, Bradley Liew who made his directorial debut with Singing in Graveyards in 2016 and produced by Epicmedia Productions Inc. The anthology will feature seven different directors for 13 different episodes.

Bianca Balbuena, Chief Executive Officer of Epicmedia Productions commented: “We are very excited to work with the acclaimed Malaysian actor and the series will be release as part of the Philippine horror anthology under Astro Boo Channel (Malaysia).”

The production will start on 20th June in Manila, Philippine.
