Lazada Malaysia has launched Online Revolution 2017, its biggest shopping event of the year. Running for its sixth year, the month-long online shopping extravaganza will begin on 11.11 (11 November 2017) until 14.12 (14 December 2017). With the theme ‘Shop the Universe’, customers will be introduced to new sections in the website which includes a variety of products from around the world at great prices.
During the launch, Hans-Peter Ressel, CEO of Lazada Malaysia commented, “More people are placing greater trust when purchasing online. This shows that the adoption of eCommerce is accelerating, and the online environment is flourishing in the Malaysian market.”
“With the Lazada application already downloaded by a third of the country’s population, we’re expecting about 1 out of 5 Malaysians to be on our platform for 11.11. This is a strong testament to our expertise and knowing well ahead what our customers demand – an even wider selection of assortments at any given time,” explained the CEO.
He added that this year’s Online Revolution reflects the company’s commitment in continuously providing its customers with a seamless shopping experience. “It is in our nature to expand and evolve alongside our customers’ needs and that is why we have tripled the offerings from last year. By putting the “Universe” at the fingertips of our customers, we are addressing every aspect of online shopping that are important to our customers including affordability, assortment and convenience,” he concluded.
Online Revolution will be joined by various marketing partners and will feature giveaways worth more than RM 60 million, including holiday packages, cars and electronics.
