Malaysia to Witness Professional Boxing World Championship Fight

Boxranx, Malaysia’s Professional Boxing Series just announced its return for another Professional Boxing show at a press conference held in One City, Subang Jaya, earlier today. Their last inaugural show was back in July 2017. This instalment of Boxranx: Rise of the Champions, taking place on March 17, will be featuring a WBC (World Boxing Council) Asia Silver Featherweight Title between former Malaysian National Boxer, Muhammad Shehran and Indonesian Pro Boxing Champion, Erick ‘Deztroyer’ Subiyasno.

The main event will feature World Silver Welterweight Title bout between World Ranking No.6 boxer Qudratillo Abdukakhorov (13W – 0L – 9KO) from Uzbekistan and Laszlo Toth (25W – 3L – 1D – 17KO) from Hungary. 

Boxranx: Rise of the Champions will also be featuring an unusually large fight card of 13 matches with pro boxers from Malaysia like MIMMA Finalist and National Boxing Gold Medalist, Eddy ‘The Clown’ Kalai, Gerald Baiguen and one of Malaysia’s pioneer MMA fighter, Sam Chan. Filipino MMA Champion, Fritz Aldin Biagtan will also be looking to improve his ranks in professional boxing.


Speaking at the event, WBC Malaysia President and Boxranx founder, Raymond Lew explained that the goal of having this competition is to bring more Malaysian boxers to the international scene. “This will be a beginning of Malaysia’s professional series and more series will be coming soon,” he added.
