AICA 2018 or the Asia Influencer Carnival Awards embraced and celebrated the role of Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) in today’s society. The brainchild behind the creation of this award was to give recognition to the top and upcoming influencers or KOLs in both Malaysia and China.
Fione Tan, the CEO of 28Mall.com championed this award show emphasizing the importance of the influence in modern day marketing and how business are evolving embracing the digital revolution. “This is the power of influencers marketing, especially for business owners who wish to promote their products to China, or to target tourists from China coming to Malaysia to visit their shops or attractions”, said Fione.
Among notable award winners is Lin Yuan Shan who won the China Power KOL, a Chinese KOL who have 2 million fans on Yizhibo, the live-streaming app of choice for Chinese millennial. Malaysia’s beloved model, Amber Chia won the Top Model and Power KOL. The ever talented Winnie K took away the Singer and Celeb KOL award. The Upcoming Influence Award 2018 falls to the beauty Instagram star, Elvina Chua.
In conjunction with AICA 2018, there is also the 2018 Miss Talent International Competition Finals Gala Dinner. With its tagline “Beauty with Talent”, the pageant delivers justice by crowning Miss Chai Shu Wen, the 20-years old Sabahan who with her poise, kung fu skills and dancing talent amazed the judges.
