Kuala Lumpur, 28th April 2019. KL Jamm international music festival closes its curtain with a mesmerizing, soulful R&B concert with the performances of Ruffedge, Innuendo and Billy Zulkarnain attended by over 2,000 fans. The finale to the inaugural festival was attended by YB Tuan Muhammad Bakhtiar Wan Chik, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia.

“For the past 3 days, KL Jamm gathered over 8,000 music fans from more than 10 different countries including Malaysia, each enjoying a diversified range of music genres targeting different age groups. It was an overwhelming start for KL Jamm considering that it is a private initiative, and we hope KL Jamm will continue to grow to become not only the largest music festival in Southeast Asia but also an integrated entertainment festival in the years to come” says Dato’ Norman Abdul Halim, Festival Director of KL Jamm.

The Top 10 highlights (in sequence of events) for the festival are: -

  • 26th April 2019 - Official launch by YB Tuan Muhammad Bakhtiar Wan Chik, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia
  • 26th April 2019 - Proposal for the set-up of a central government agency to develop the music industry by Dato’ Norman Abdul Halim in his opening speech as the Festival Director
  • 26th April 2019 – 20 panelists at Forumuzik including speakers from China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan and France

  • 27th April 2019 – Special appearance by M Academy China 1st batch debuted artist Chinese pop singer, LIN LingAo. LIN is one of the featured contestants from the top China talent program, Idol Producer 
  • 27th April 2019 – Concerts by Zamani, OAG (featuring Pelita Lusoh), Dato’ Ramli Sarip and Indonesian mega bands – Nidji and Geisha
  • 28th April 2019 – Concerts by Amelina, Kartel artistes (Joe Flizzow, SonaOne, Alif, Yung Raja, Abubakar X, Ila Damia, Fariz Jabba) and Bunkface (featuring Pijan & Herri Bittersweet, Edwin Raj Toko Kilat, Aidil Couple and Ejal Grey Sky Morning)

KL Jamm also opened the opportunity for emerging artistes in the region to showcase their talents at MusicXpo. The foreign artistes were J Arie (Hong Kong), DJ Nagisa (Japan), LIN LingAo (China), Alfred Sim (Singapore) apart from local artistes such as JZey Junior, Dian Hashim, Nami Harez, Hana, Rudy Ivannie, Kimmi Yahya, Mohd Mentor, Randy Faliq, Maria, Shaun Salim, Anatasha, Fatihah Izyan, Hashtaq Band, Secret Life Band, Jasz, Ray Asri, Jiha Akhir, Ammar Hamdan, Syazwan Syahmi, Farra Ahmad, Hashmitha Selvem, Rahman and Arill Fesol.
